Sous le ciel de Paris

8:21 AM

After Versailles, we returned back to Paris for some more sightseeing. We strolled through the long boulevards and did a lot of people watching. We saw at least three couples stopping out of nowhere for a smooch. Tres romantique!

Afterwards we arrived at a very busy Champs Élysées. People all around us were dressed up in business wear walking hurriedly to and fro.  Tourists and locals alike were doing some retail therapy at shops such as: Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Lacoste and others.
Unlike all the busy shoppers, we did a lot of window shopping instead and after a while we finally came upon the beautiful Arc de Triomphe. Amazing how it sits right in the middle of a busy traffic roundabout. After admiring it, I sat down staring at the traffic going on around us. I thought LA drivers were insane, however drivers in Paris have some major traffic rage. I would never want to drive there.

After our mini break we took off to a place that we had been dying to go to: Ladurée. It's a wonderful pastry shop that is famous for making macarons and other exquisite delicacies. The macarons were absolutely delish. They are packaged inside a beautifully designed box. I love how so much detail goes into making and packaging a pastry. I highly recommend this place.

After indulging in some macarons we were off to La Tour Eiffel.
